Kevin Foley wants a Wolves lift against Wednesday

KEVIN Foley tonight faces a Sheffield Wednesday side against whom he made his Wolves league debut with the simple message: "Let's transfer our away form on to home soil."

Wolves have failed to win in their last four Championship outings at Molineux, more evidence of their rollercoaster season having previously made the place a fortress in winning six out of seven on home turf.

And Foley, whose league debut came in Wolves' first trip of the season, a 3-1 win at Hillsborough, has called for a repeat of the away-day wins at Scunthorpe and Watford.

"My debut ended up being a good day all round, but since then we haven't got as many wins on our travels as we'd have liked," he admitted.

"We've now had two more and confidence is up again so it's all about cracking on now and doing it on our home patch.

"Nothing much has changed from the bad run to the good -we've just had shots going a couple of inches inside the post rather than outside but I don't think there was too much wrong.

"At the same time we know Wednesday can be a good side and have got some direct wingers who we'll have to stop."

Foley meanwhile is playing down suggestions Wolves, backed by vociferous away followings in those recent two wins, might once again find life difficult in front of their own fans. "The odd moan and groan is part of football and you get it everywhere, no matter what club," he added.

"There are always fans who want more or aren't happy when things aren't going well and you just have to take that on board and keep doing what you're doing.

"There are no fans better than the Wolves fans when they are behind us, and that's what the crowd and the players want, which hopefully will happen again tonight."
