Wolves hoping to find their form on TV

WOLVES will finally be hoping to show off their TV best at Charlton tomorrow night - because they haven't won in EIGHT televised matches.

Indeed their 1-0 victory thanks to Jay Bothroyd's injury time stunner at Leeds in September, 2006, is their only success in ten televised attempts under boss Mick McCarthy.

With McCarthy having suffered his first defeat as Wolves manager at the hands of Preston in front of the Sky cameras at the end of the first week of the 2006/07 campaign, since Leeds he has seen his team draw two and lose six on the box.

In another twist to tomorrow evening's entertainment the referee is Mike Riley, himself very much in the news after failing to send off Ashley Cole for his horror tackle on Alan Hutton, followed by dissent, in Chelsea's recent clash with Tottenham.

The Leeds official last refereed Wolves in their 2-0 FA Cup defeat at Arsenal in January, 2005.

WOLVES' TV HELL 24/11/06: (h) Sunderland 1-1. 22/04/07: (h) Blues 2-3. 13/05/07: (h) Albion 2-3. 16/05/07: (a) Albion 0-1. 11/08/07: (h) Watford 1-2. 08/12/07: (h) Burnley 2-3. 22/12/07: (h) Leicester 1-1. 02/02/08: (a) Watford 0-3.
