Sylvan Ebanks-Blake: Charlton Athletic goal was best ever

Sylvan Ebanks-Blake scores against Charlton Athletic

SYLVAN Ebanks-Blake has rated his dazzling solo goal for Wolves at Charlton Athletic last Saturday as the best of his career so far.

The striker's second strike in the crucial 3-2 victory at The Valley was one that will live long in the memory not only for its importance but also its quality - a mesmering flick and turn past the defender then a searing, angled shot.

And Ebanks-Blake admits the wonder goal came out of nothing. While it took Charlton's defence totally by surprise, even he didn't know he was going to do it - until he did.

"It was probably the best I've scored," said the former Manchester United trainee.

"It was a completely instinctive moment and something that came off for me, so I was really pleased, not just with the goal but the win."
