Andy Keogh: Wolves need to reproduce performance against Albion

Wolves Andy Keogh and Robert Koren battle it out.

ANDY Keogh admitted he felt “sick” after Wolves’ latest derby defeat at the hands of fierce rivals Albion - but believes the team shouldn’t be too disheartened.

The Irish striker insisted there wasn’t much between the two old rivals, admitting Wolves just need to focus on producing the same level of performance for Saturday’s visit of Ipswich.

“It’s really disappointing - we’re not too happy with the goal we conceded and just didn’t seem to have the finishing touch we’ve had in previous games,” said Keogh.

“The next four games are massive now starting with Saturday.

“We just need to get this disappointment over with and focus on Ipswich because that’s an important game and they are a team around us.

“It’s up to us to do the business.

“People might think ‘same old’ that we’re still talking about it being there for us but it is.

“We shouldn’t be disheartened because this was a good performance and we gave everything but just didn’t get that lucky break.

“It was solid from them but disappointing from us and you just feel that little bit more sick because it was a local derby.”

Keogh was impressed with the volume of support from the Wolves fans, and left hoping for more of the same for the next two home games with Ipswich and Cardiff.

“The fans were brilliant and it was a great atmosphere, hopefully they will take a bit of heart from our performance,” he added.

“We just have to go out and get as many points as we can, four wins if possible.

“Anything can happen for the play-offs, it’s still wide open.”
