It's a close encounter for Matt Jarvis

Matt Jarvis

WINGER Matt Jarvis believes Ipswich's status as fellow play-off chasers guarantees an open game when the two lock horns at Molineux tomorrow.

Wolves, in eighth, are two points behind seventh-placed Ipswich and a further one adrift of Crystal Palace in sixth, with a game in hand on both.

Just to make it closer still, Wolves and Ipswich have both taken 11 points from their last six outings but Jarvis still expects an attacking game, bearing in mind the need to catch Palace.

Ipswich have won just three games away from home so far this season, with one of their 14 home wins the comfortable 3-0 win against Wolves last October in which Jarvis came on for the second half.

"When we went to Ipswich they were having a great run at home but perhaps we owe them one in that respect," he added.

"We know it will be a tough game as they all are but we know what we've got to do.

"They might have to come here and go for it because they're in the same boat as us, they need a win to get into the play-offs.

"That might work in our favour but we just have to keep playing as we have and score some goals."
