New kit unveiled at Wolves end of season awards night

Darren Ward, Matt Jarvis and Karl Henry model the new Wolves kit for the 2008/09 season.

WOLVES goalkeeper Wayne Hennessey was the big winner at the club's end-of-season awards night.

Hennessey was named Players' Player of the Year and Player of the Season by fans at the recent game with Ipswich.

It has been a big 12 months for the 21-year-old, who only made his senior Wolves debut just under a year ago in the play-offs semi-finals against Albion to replace the injured Matt Murray.

A full Wales cap soon followed and Hennessey has been an ever-present in the Championship this season, attracting a number of Premier League scouts in the process.

Hennessey said: "I was shocked, I came along to cheer the other lads and when my name was called I couldn't believe it.

"I'm so proud, I need to thank a lot of people."

Wolves also launched their new kit for next season and it was modelled by Karl Henry, Matt Jarvis and Darren Ward.

The club have signed a two-year, seven-figure sponsorship deal with Le Coq Sportif who have produced Wolves' strips for the past four years.

Other winners were Academy Player of the Season Ashley Hemmings and Young Professional of the Season Elliott Bennett. Goal of the season was Sylvan Ebanks-Blake's second at Charlton. Champagne moment was Karl Henry's winner at Charlton.
