Jez Moxey flies out for Indian link-up

Jez Moxey

WOLVES chief executive Jez Moxey and coach Terry Connor were today flying out to India to officially launch a new community-driven agreement with a top Indian club.

The new initiative, with JCT Mills FC, will focus on youth and community development and will include the two clubs sending staff and Academy players on exchange visits over the coming months.

Wolves' Punjabi Wolves supporters club is one of the biggest groups of its kind in the country, and this latest link-up is part of the Wolverhampton-India partnership instigated by local MP Pat McFadden.

Connor will also carry out some coaching during the visit.

"It's not a strategic move to find new professional footballers or form commercial agreements, " said Moxey. "It will be a bonus for both sides if these things develop over time." Wolves, meanwhile, have brushed off reports that Hull Kingston Rovers rugby league chief executive Paul Lakin was being head-hunted for the chief executive position at Molineux.

It appears instead Lakin has been targeted for a head of commercial role.
