George Elokobi goes under the knife
GEORGE Elokobi is ready for the long haul back to fitness after knee surgery.
The 22-year-old went under the knife today for an operation to repair multiple damage to his knee ligaments sustained in the 2-0 win at Ipswich on August 23.
Elokobi’s rehabilitation will sideline him for the whole season, leaving him with the target of getting back to fitness for next summer’s pre-season work.
It is a frustrating blow for the left-back, who has started his Wolves career so promisingly.
But, a mature and upbeat character, he has pledged to apply himself totally to his long recovery process.
“I have just had a little glimpse of what lies ahead in my rehabilitation,” Ekolobi said.
“It is going to be tough because I have got to be disciplined in the way I go about it.
“But I am looking forward to it. You have to know what’s going to help you recover quicker to get back to full fitness. “
