Chelsea star Michael Mancienne is relishing pressure of loan move to Wolverhampton Wanderers

CHELSEA loanee Michael Mancienne is relishing the pressure of playing for Wolves.

And Mancienne is looking forward to putting one over former club QPR at the weekend.

Mancienne had a lengthy loan spell with the West London side before arriving at Molineux.

The central defender said: “They gave me my first taste of first-team football and I still know quite a few of the lads there.

“I had a couple of good seasons with them and I’m looking forward to playing against them on Saturday.

“But although I’ve got friends at QPR, that won’t stop me from trying to help Wolves win the game.

“It’s great to be at a club like Wolves who are top of the league and trying to play good football.

“Having been involved in a relegation scrap, this is a different kind of football. Previously it was a battle just to win games.

“The pressure’s of a different kind at the top, but it’s one I really enjoy.’’
