Chelsea star Michael Mancienne is relishing pressure of loan move to Wolverhampton Wanderers
picked up while on duty with the full England squad in Germany.
He admitted: “It knocked me about quite a bit and I was still feeling it during the first half against Birmingham City.
“By the second half, I felt a great deal better and I feel normal now.
“It was just a virus I picked up, but I just had no energy. I couldn’t even run and I’m just glad it’s passed.
“England was great, just to be in and around it was such a good experience. I was just happy to be involved.
“I might have got on from the bench if the game had been more comfortable, but because it was so tight, it made it difficult.
“But I took a great deal away from the week as a whole.’’
