McCarthy said: “Kevin trained yesterday and he should be fine but Wardy hurt his shoulder on Tuesday night – after about three minutes he landed on it.”
Wolves will also be without keeper Carl Ikeme who has a back injury but new loan signing winger Kyel Reid may well be included on the bench.
The Molineux boss said: “I thought Keogh was excellent the other night – and Sam. I was pleased with them both.
“I know they are both good players. They have just been unfortunate that the form of the other two and the goals has kept them out.
“Sylvan scored last week but I think you might find if strikers have been banging goals in as they have then suddenly they get a little bit more care and attention foisted upon them and a more watchful eye.
“People know they are a threat and I think centre-backs are now upping their game against them.
“It is important our strikers keep banging in the goals – goals have been vital to where we are now so far this season.”
