Wolves: Striker Andy Keogh ready for wounded Middlesbrough

WOLVES striker Andy Keogh believes Middlesbrough will come to Molineux this afternoon looking to use the FA Cup to kickstart their dismal Premier League form.
The Ireland international claims Gareth Southgate’s relagation strugglers will look to emulate the way Wolves used victory over Blues in the third round to restart their Championship form last week.
But, while Keogh is a fan of the FA Cup, he admits if it was between beating Boro or taking three points off fellow promotion chasers Reading on Tuesday night, he would take the later.
Keogh, back in form for Wolves, said: “It will be a good game against a good standard of opposition.
“If we want to test ourselves against Premier League opponents then this is our chance.
‘‘I think, however, if anyone said we could only win this or the Reading game it would be that one. But this will be a good game, a good atmosphere and nice for the fans.”
The 22-year-old faces tough competition from fellow strikers Sylvan Ebanks-Blake, Chris Iwelumo and Sam Vokes for a place in the starting line-up for the cup game.
He said: “The Reading game is much bigger in my opinion and the gaffer will have one eye on that as well.
“Whatever decision he makes about who plays though, the boys will go out and do their best.
“We want to win but we really want to win at Reading.”
