Teenage striker Sam Vokes has mixed feelings about his second start for Wolverhampyon Wanderers

Sylvan, but I didn’t really have any chances to score.

“I’ve just tried to seize my chance right from when I came in to the club.

“The gaffer’s got a decision to make and he’s got to see what his best options are for Sunday.

“It was disappointing for me, but it’s not really about me at all, it’s about the team.

“We’ve got a massive game this Sunday against Cardiff, and I think we just need to try to get three points any way we can.”

Vokes and the rest of the Wolves squad jetted off for La Manga in Spain yesterday for a warm-weather training camp and Vokes hopes the change of scenery will help them rediscover their best form ahead of the visit of promotion rivals Cardiff.

“I think we need to regroup as a squad and concentrate on the next game,” he said.

“No games are easy at this level and Cardiff will be up for it coming to our place after we turned them over earlier in the season.”
