Wolves: Stephen Ward ready for 'eight cup finals'

STEPHEN Ward insists every game in the run-in to the end of the Championship season is vitally important for Wolves.

Wanderers are three points clear of their chasing rivals at the top, but the Irish international left-back insists the players want promotion as much as anyone.

Ward said: “We don’t really sense the end of the season is close. The only thing we sense is we’ve got eight games to go and they’re going to be eight cup finals.

“We are just taking it game by game and now we look towards the visit of Charlton (this afternoon). That’s the way it has to be from now until the end of the season.”

Ward admits the results have been inconsistent of late with Wolves winning two games on the bounce away from home in the last fortnight but still struggling to bury teams like Ipswich at Molineux.
