Don't write off Reading warns Wolves boss Mick McCarthy
READING should not be ruled out of the race for automatic promotion to the Premier League just yet according to Wolves manager Mick McCarthy.
He knows from personal experience it is possible to overturn a poor run of results.
Wolves had won just once in eight league games on home soil until Saturday’s 2-1 victory over Charlton and McCarthy concedes it is possible for Steve Coppell’s side to rally with seven games still to go until the end of the season.
That would put the Royals back in the mix with Wolves and Blues at the top of the table.
McCarthy said: “Reading have had a bad run like we did but is it beyond reasonable doubt that they could win three and draw one out of their next four?
“That could really put the cat amongst the pigeons if they did unless we all did the same.”
McCarthy stated that it would not be a surprise to him if Reading return to form.
