Wolves skipper Karl Henry dreaming of winning the Championship title

WOLVES skipper Karl Henry has revealed for the first time he has occasionally allowed himself the chance to dream of the magnificent moment when he steps up as the club captain to lift the Championship trophy.
Henry admits that honour would be the icing on the cake as he is the only Wolverhampton-born player in Mick McCarthy’s current first-team squad.
But Henry admits he has only dared to dream of winning the league along with automatic promotion to the top flight in recent weeks since Wolves’ return to form and the fact nearest rivals Blues and Reading continue to slip up.
Henry insists he is not getting carried away with his fantasies after seeing his side bounce back from a recent blip of just one win in 12 games to notch up 13 points out of a possible 15 in their last five games.
Henry said: “Yes I have dreamed about lifting the Championship trophy as captain.
‘‘I look forward to that day and hope and pray it happens now.
“But if we get promoted it won’t just be massive for me but massive for everyone associated with the club.
“I admit, though, with me being the local lad in the team I will be the first one jumping up and throwing everything around the room if it does happen.
