Wolves skipper Karl Henry dreaming of winning the Championship title

“I can’t wait for that day.”

Henry believes his fellow players deserve promotion as do the supporters, 5,300 of whom travelled to the City Ground at the weekend to see the club go five points clear at the top with a 1-0 victory over Nottingham Forest.

“It is so important for all if us,” he said. “I think you can see recently just how good the support is and it would be fantastic for the fans if we could go straight up.

“I think the supporters have realised that at times they have to be patient and that sometimes the way that teams set up against us we can’t just be free-flowing like we were in the first half of the season.

“The support against Forest was again fantastic. When they get behind us it is tremendous out there and such a nice feeling.

“If we go on and win it will probably be the proudest moment in my career.

“Fingers crossed, now, that we can keep it going.”
