Vokes: Relegation and promotion, at 19 for Wolves striker

SAM Vokes may only be 19-years-old but he has already discovered any footballing career is littered with highs and lows.

Just a year ago he was going through the agony of being relegated to League Two with Bournemouth.

Now he is celebrating promotion to the Premier League with Wolves.

“This has been a massive year for me,” the striker said. “I ended up getting relegated with Bournemouth last year and here I am at the opposite end of the table with promotion to the Premier League.

“I can’t really believe it.

“Fortunately for me my career has been like that, a lot of highs, and this tops off the last year really.”
