Wolves star Mick McCarthy weighs up his options

MICK McCarthy will sit down with his fringe players and those he has had on loan for the last few weeks to discuss whether they have a future at Wolves next season.

But the Championship-winning manager insists nothing will be done until the final match and the visit of Doncaster Rovers is out of the way on Sunday.

McCarthy has a number of players out on loan and he has also brought players in for their services including West Ham United winger Kyel Reid and Villa striker Marlon Harewood.

Reid, who scored the equaliser for Wolves at Barnsley at the weekend to give the league-leaders the Championship title, has already said he would love to stay on with his current contract at Upton Park due to run out this summer.

But McCarthy said: “I haven’t made any decisions yet and won’t discuss them until I’ve spoken to the players.

“We need to sit down and have a chat about a lot of things next week.
