And while Ebanks-Blake may be in awe of the former England star, it seems Fowler is equally impressed by the 23-year-old Wolves hot-shot.
Fowler, now 34, who plays for Fury in Western Australia’s Hyundai A-League after joining them from Cardiff City last season, said: “I don’t see why he (Ebanks-Blake) can’t play for England.
“If he keeps moving the way he is and keeps scoring that amount of goals, it will be hard for the England set-up to overlook him.”
Ebanks-Blake scored 25 goals last season to win the Championships Golden Boot for the second successive season.
Fowler, the Premier League’s fourth greatest all-time scorer, made more than 400 appearances for Liverpool scoring almost 200 goals, added: “His record in the Championship is fantastic.
‘‘He went to Plymouth and scored lots of goals, he then he went to Wolves and he hasn’t stopped scoring.
“If he continues to score goals, then he’ll do well in the Premier League.”
