Wolves: Internationals 'won't walk into team', says Mick McCarthy

MICK McCarthy has warned his returning internationals that they will have their work cut out to break into his side.

Kevin Doyle and Christophe Berra are both looking to face Manchester City after injury but McCarthy is likely to stick with the players who performed so admirably in last night’s win at Wigan.

When asked if the message to his fit-again players would be that they could not expect to simply ‘walk back in’, the Wolves boss said:

“Of course that’s the message – but it’s not from me, it’s from the players, they’re the ones who give the messages.”
