Wolves: Fit-again Jody Craddock aims to reclaim starting place

“If there is a positive I’ve already got a decent fitness level and it’s not like being out for a month when your match fitness can drop. Two weeks shouldn’t be too bad especially as I can keep doing other work to keep myself ticking over.”

Craddock says his place in the team is now very much under threat with Christophe Berra likely to be the chief beneficiary.

The veteran admits his ever-present haul of games so far in the league has come as a shock with so much competition for places.

“I’ve enjoyed it so far,” Craddock said.

“I wasn’t expecting to start the season but was obviously delighted to do so.

“I’m 34 but have played in the Premier League again which I see as a big achievement.

“I’ve already had another nice taste of it and have probably played four more games than I’d have expected at this stage of the season.

“Now I’ve just got to try and get back from injury and get back in the team.”
