Wolves: Mick McCarthy sympathises with Fulham boss

“It’s bound to be. First and foremost, they have got a game today and we haven’t.

“But then it is about the nature of how far they have to travel and come back. It makes it difficult.

“It is how you deal with it.

“Manchester United, perhaps, and other teams have bigger and better squads that they can rotate and still have the same level of team playing.

“Maybe some of the others haven’t.”

Former Albion trio Zoltan Gera, Jonathan Greening and Diomansy Kamara should play tonight.

“They’ve got the players, I suppose,” admitted McCarthy.

“I don’t know with their squad or how they will do it.

“I’m not sure he has put a huge importance on the Europa Cup.

“If you get into the Europa League there is no point in then not performing.

“They will want to have good results.

“Playing on Thursday and Sunday is like playing on Wednesday and Saturday – you have just got to cope with it.”
