Everton boss Moyes pleased with 1-1 draw against Wolves

DAVID Moyes paid tribute to Wolves after they came close to ending Everton’s unbeaten run.
Everton had won five and drawn one of their previous six fixtures but Kevin Doyle’s 76th-minute opener looked like handing Wolves a second away win of the season.
That was until Diniyar Bilyaletdinov’s 89th-minute leveller rescued a point. “We’re pleased in the end to get the 1-1 draw because it looked as if we couldn’t have scored if we played there all week,” Moyes said.
“We had enough chances to win it but give Wolves credit, they defended really well and made it hard for us and getting a point in the end was the best we could do.”
Moyes was also keen to praise Bilyaletdinov’s performance after he scored his first goal in Everton colours.
“I think he was probably our best provider of opportunities for goals,” the Toffees boss added.
“He put a couple of really good balls in the box, I think he put Yak through in the second half as well with a pass, which was a chance, and finished one himself.
“I think he’s finding his feet. It’s not easy to come to the Premier League and start games and I think if we had more players fit and available I don’t think he would be.
“But it’s giving him that early chance to get a feel for the Premier League and he’s doing okay.”
