Wolves Zubar set for return to the fray against Birmingham City

WOLVES are in line for an injury boost headed by key defender Ronald Zubar, who is likely to return against Blues.
The former Marseille ace has almost fully recovered from the thigh injury which kept him out at Chelsea.
“I think Ronald will train tomorrow, which will be good and a boost to us,” said Mick McCarthy.
“It’s just a slight thigh strain, so we’re hoping he’ll be fine.”
Stephen Ward played 63 minutes of last night’s 2-0 reserve defeat at home to Fulham after knee surgery at the end of August.
And striker Chris Iwelumo is also on the verge of a return to training having damaged his foot in the draw at Stoke City.
“He’s hoping he might train this week so we’ll just have to see,” said McCarthy.
“It would be a boost. We might decide to keep him back though.”
Iwelumo has been back on the Nasa designed gravity-defying treadmill that aided his initial recovery from a broken metatarsal so well in the summer.
McCarthy joked: “He’s been on the space runner quite a bit – I might have a go myself.”
On the downside, stopper Matt Murray appears no nearer a return after injuring his knee in the reserve game against Blues.
“Matt’s still the same, there are no further developments,” said McCarthy.
Reserve goalkeeper Carl Ikeme played the final game of his one month loan for Charlton in their win over Bristol Rovers last night.
He is believed to be wanted by Sheffield United with Charlton keeper Rob Elliott now nearing fitness after an abductor muscle injury.
Scott Malone played 90 minutes of last night’s 2-0 defeat at Tranmere for Southend after completing a loan move.
