One goal is all we need says Wolverhampton Wanderers' keeper Marcus Hahnemann

MARCUS Hahnemann believes one goal is all it will take to get Wolves firing again.
Mick McCarthy’s side have scored 12 goals in 14 matches and have netted twice in just three games this term – against Fulham, Sunderland and Stoke.
Kevin Doyle, Sylvan Ebanks-Blake, Andy Keogh, Stefan Maierhofer and Chris Iwelumo have just half-a-dozen goals between them.
But American keeper Hahnemann, who made a surprise league debut against Blues, sees small margins as the difference between success and failure.
“Once we get one, we’re going to get a hatful,” he said.
“Everyone’s frustrated because people’s heads are down at chances they have missed, but we’re talking inches again.
“That’s all it is and once we get that one goal, they’re going to go flying in, I know it.”
Lee Bowyer’s magnificent strike was the latest of many long-range efforts which have pierced the Wolves defence this season.
West Ham’s Marc Noble, Chelsea’s Florent Malouda, Stoke’s Matthew Etherington and Sunderland’s Kenwynne Jones all scored from distance.
On the other hand Wolves’ speculative efforts have flown the wrong side of the posts.
“Kevin Doyle put one just wide at the start of the second period (against Blues) and that is indicative of how things are going for us,” said Hahnemann.
“Goals change games and their guy (Bowyer) hit a wonder goal and that was the difference between the two teams. There was nothing I could do to stop it.
“But we can’t afford to give people that much time. That was the disappointing thing. We stood off him too much and we need to be in people’s faces, especially in a derby.”
Hahnemann admitted Bowyer took the shine off his big day.
“I was super-excited at getting my chance,” he said.
“It was nice to get out and play, but I just wish it was under better circumstances.
“Now we’ve lost three on the bounce. It’s been a difficult time.”
