My goal was offside admits Wolves defender Jody Craddock

Jody Craddock

JODY Craddock admitted that his fourth goal in five matches should not have stood.

Craddock was in an offside position when he slammed home Wolves’ opener which gave them a dream start against Bolton.

But he was honest enough to admit he had strayed beyond the last man when he collected Christophe Berra’s flick from Nenad Milijas’ free-kick.

“I was just happy to be in the right place at the right time,” he said.

“I thought it was offside at the time and I watched it back and it was.

“It was from the flick-on, but I’m not bothered. I think it happened too quickly for the linesman and it was just nice to be on the end of it.

“It was almost exactly the same as what happened at Stoke, only more towards the centre of the goal.

“It gave us a great start and that was what we needed.”
