Stud Marks: Mick McCarthy falls victim to latest Wikipedia hoax

THERE’S no doubt that the popular information website Wikipedia is open to abuse.

The ability for any old surfer to log on and update details on absolutely anything means that individuals can use the site to take out their gripes.

Take Wolves boss Mick McCarthy, for example.

For some time now, the personal information on the straight-talking manager’s Wikipedia profile has been headed up by ‘Full Name – Michael Judas McCarthy’.

Of course, his genuine middle name is Joseph and now that Stud Marks has shone a light on the error, let’s hope the Wikipedia clear it up, as McCarthy has had enough of a hard time of it lately.

This article is taken from Stud Marks, a sideways look at Midlands football which appears in the Birmingham Mail every Monday
