Wolves: Dave Edwards eyes end of season for return
WOLVES midfielder Dave Edwards has targeted the final five games of the season after returning to training following ankle surgery.
“I trained on Monday and it went well and I haven’t had any reaction to it,” the former Luton player said.
“I’m not getting ahead of myself because I went back into training last month and broke down after a couple of days.
“I won’t be saying when I might be fully fit again because it’s a big blow if something happens and it goes wrong.
“I’m keeping my feet firmly on the floor and just hoping there won’t be any more problems and I can crack on. If I get through this week and into next then I should be fine.
“Having done all the tests I haven’t lost much fitness. I’ve also lost a few pounds which helps.
“Obviously people will be putting the reins on me to hold me back! There are ten games left, and if I was ready for the last five that would be great – anything more would be a bonus.”
