We must turn plaudits into points, says Wolves winger Matt Jarvis

Matt Jarvis

MATT Jarvis admits that hearing praise for the way Wolves have played of late is nice – up to a point.

But he knows compliments won’t lift a side up the Premier League table and the bottom line is Wolves have to translate good performances into points on the board to climb to safety.

“It is nice to hear people giving us praise and refreshing to hear people saying that we are playing well because there was a time when we seemed to be getting written off,” he said.

“It is good when people say we are too good to go down. But at the end of the day we need to make sure we are too good to go down by getting results on the pitch.

“If we do that we will stay up. We all know we have to back that up because no team is too good to go down.
