KEVIN Doyle could miss the rest of the season for Wolves after scans revealed he had torn knee ligaments.

The striker picked up the injury during the Republic of Ireland’s game against Macedonia.

Rehabilitation times can vary with this particular injury and therefore the striker still has a chance of featuring this season if he recovers within the eight week projected timespan.

In the best case scenario he could be back for the final month of the season.

But he could yet be ruled out for the remainder of the campaign, which would be a huge blow to Mick McCarthy’s squad during the coming weeks.
