MIDFIELDER Dave Edwards came through his first game since February as Wolves reserves drew with Newcastle at The Bucks Head.
Edwards, who has been suffering from a persistent back problem, played for all but the last 12 minutes with no signs of trouble.
Wolves took the lead on nine minutes when James Spray got on the end of Matt Doherty’s knock back to convert from close in.
The visitors drew level after 23 minutes when Samuel Ameobi drilled home a left footed drive.
The game was marred a nasty injury to Newcastle defender Jeffrey Henderson after a challenge from Ethan Ebanks-Blake, who was shown a red card.
