KARL Henry says the loss of the captaincy at Molineux hurt.
Henry led Wolves to promotion and two survival seasons in the top flight before he was replaced by new boy Roger Johnson.
“Of course it was disappointing,” he said.
“I had been captain for three years – and it had been a great time for me.
“We were promoted to the Premier League and have stayed there for a couple of years.
“And it’s my hometown club, so I’ve had a fantastic time being captain. It’s been a great honour. So, of course I am disappointed to lose it but that’s football. Things move on and I’ve just got my head down and got on with things.”
Henry bears no grudge against Johnson.
“I think English centre-halves at the moment are worth their weight in gold.
“There’s a lot of talk about Gary Cahill at the moment and he’s a fantastic player.
“There just seems to be a lack of top-class centre-halves around and any that do fit that mould are being snapped up.
