Wolves boss turns up the heat on pointless Tottenham

MICK McCarthy has turned up the heat on pointless opponents Spurs.

Tottenham are rock bottom and along with Albion and Blackburn have nothing to show for their efforts so far.

“It’s always edgy if you haven’t got any points,” McCarthy said.

“Look at Roy Hodgson and West Brom. They played Chelsea and Manchester United and it heaps the pressure on that next match.

“A mistake cost them (against Stoke) then suddenly they have three games and no points.

“But they’ve played Chelsea and Man United. We’ve got them to play.

“It’s all about over the season and it’s about keeping calm when you haven’t got any points after a bad start.

“You have to maintain the equilibrium and know you’ll get the points when they come around.

“All last season it was: ‘It’s what you end up with.’

“If ever I was proved to be right it was last season.

“Spurs will be desperate to beat us and maybe think they should be beating us.

“They’ve been beaten by the best two teams in the league. Playing them and not having the home game against Everton has done them a real disservice.
