Wolves: Karl Henry gutted Brad Friedel denied him his first Premier League goal

KARL Henry admitted he couldn’t believe Brad Friedel prevented him from scoring his first ever Premier League goal on Saturday.

The Wolves midfielder looked destined to break his duck but the veteran American got his fingertips to a curling effot and tipped it around the post.

Had Henry opened the scoring on 14 minutes, when Wolves were on top, it would have changed the dynamics of the game.

However, the former club captain knows they can’t look too much into the defeat because of the quality Spurs have on show.

“I couldn’t believe he saved it,” said Henry.

“It would have been my first Premier League goal which would have been nice.

“I thought I caught it well. He made a good save, he made a few and was solid in goal for them.

“They are a class side.

“I thought we performed well enough to get something from the game but once they got the two goals, they started popping it around like they were Brazil, which they can do because we’ve got to force the issue and are leaving gaps.

“The way it finished was not a reflection of the 90 minutes.

“I thought we held our own and I felt we should have scored a couple of goals.
