ROGER Johnson was in no doubt he was pushed by Andy Carroll in the build-up to his own goal.
Johnson fell to the deck and got to his feet just in time to deflect Charlie Adam’s wayward shot inside the post.
“I don’t feel there was a push, it was an obvious push,” he said.
“I knew it when it happened and I’ve seen it on the video.
“The ref doesn’t give it but there’s no point arguing about it afterwards because it’s done.
“It led to the goal so it’s disappointing and the ref was in a good position.
“He said afterwards he didn’t see it as a foul.
“Before the goal went in, the ball went back out and Charlie Adam beat one or two and got the shot in.
“Unfortunately it was going well wide but I put it back on target.
“I wasn’t to know but I’m always going to try and get the block in and sometimes it goes for you and sometimes it doesn’t.”
It was a third straight league defeat but Johnson saw plusses in the performance at Anfield.
“Last week we let ourselves down massively and we said to each other at half-time on Saturday that we shouldn’t just quit because we were 2-0 down. We wanted to give a good account of ourselves and I felt we did that.
