JAMIE O’Hara used his twitter feed to lambast the ‘shocking’ fans who mocked former skipper Karl Henry.
Henry was loudly cheered as he was subbed before the hour and O’Hara tweeted: “Thought it was shocking that the fans cheered Karl off today, a player that gives everything to the club deserves better from our fans.
“It’s a long season and the fans should get behind the team, we’re still improving as a team and that takes time, when they got behind us were good and created chances, come on Wolves fans we need your support every game, it doesn’t do anyone any good booing us.”
Team-mate Adam Hammill backed the midfielder in asking fans for support.
“You could feel the tension today but we need the fans’ backing,” he said. “They were excellent last year and one of the main reasons we stayed up was their support.”
Hammill says Wolves will soon return to winning ways.
“As long as we keep creating these chances and getting into the right positions we’ll be okay.
“It’s nothing to do with a lack of desire or not playing too well, it’s just decision-making at times.
