BEN Foster hopes to continue his dominance over golf partner and Wolves skipper Roger Johnson.

The Albion goalkeeper remains close to his former Birmingham City team-mate, who moved to Molineux during the summer.

The pair often play golf, with Foster claiming to be the better players.

And the Baggies loanee teed off the preparations for this Sunday’s Hawthorns derby hoping to continue his own winning streak over Johnson.

Foster admitted, however, that Johnson was a top signing for Wolves.

“I’m still in touch with him, we play a bit of golf and things like that,” said Foster.

“I’m the better golfer – he’s not very good at all.

“I play off ten and he’s off 18.

“Roger talks a great game but he’s not so great when he gets on the course.

“He’s very vocal on and off the pitch.

“The last two seasons I don’t think he’s missed a game in the Premier League and players like that are golden nuggets.

“Players that are going to be there every single week through the season are very valuable.

“It was a pleasure to have him and Scotty Dann in front of me last season.

“Roger can be a little bit too chirpy at times but I don’t suppose that’s a bad thing really.

“He’s a very good leader and I’m sure the lads at Wolves – like the lads at Blues – look to him to lead and inspire.

“When things were going against us and got tough he was always there sticking his head on the end of things and throwing his body in the line of whatever was coming.
