RICHARD Stearman went silent as he took a call from a reporter this week.
All the reporter could hear was distant traffic noises and a shrill car horn.
Then the ever-so-helpful defender’s voice became audible again.
“Sorry about that,” he said. “Got a policeman behind pipping me!”
Let’s hope he was on hands-free.
