KARL Henry deserves to end his long goal drought, says Mick McCarthy.
The Wolves boss says his former skipper has enjoyed a ‘good’ season and says he was ‘outstanding’ against Wigan in a game where he appeared to get the fans back on his side.
Henry last scored in the league in an away win at Charlton in March 2008.
“I thought he was outstanding against Wigan and I think he’s had a good season,” said McCarthy.
“He’s trying his best to be more offensive and he has been. He made that run forward to set up the goal and there have been a few good saves made off him recently.
“He hit good shots against Spurs and Swansea.
“He puts a lot of emphasis on doing his other stuff as well and works so hard.
“It would be nice for him to get a couple of goals as well.”
