Henry misses the Premier League games against Liverpool, QPR and Albion after the third dismissal of his 11-year professional career.

He was last sent off at Wigan 15 months ago – for a rash tackle on Jordi Gomez – which led to more apologies.

He was more of a victim at Arsenal in the April of the previous season when he was red carded for a tackle on Tomas Rosicky that replays showed was harsh.

“It’s going to be a long month now for me without being able to play for three games.

“I’ve got to sit it out for three vital games but I’m sure the boys will do the job and get us out of the relegation zone.

“On the plus side we’ve been playing well over the last six weeks or so.

“The performances have been much better and we may have drawn a fair few games but only lost one over the Christmas period and that was a late goal to Chelsea.

“It was another good performance on Saturday and I’m really disappointed we didn’t get anything.”

n Much-travelled former Dundee and Norwich player Mark Fotheringham has been handed a trial. The 28-year-old free-agent has been with Livingston for three months following a two-year spell in Cyprus with Anorthosis Famagusta.
