Traditional Donkey Derby has to be abandoned

A BIRMINGHAM church has been forced to abandon its traditional donkey derby at its summer fete after 20 years because of health and safety fears. Soaring insurance premiums and over-protective parents have meant St Marys Church, in Harborne, has had to scrap the race at its annual family fun day.
