THE GREAT and good of Midlands football gathered to bid a fond farewell to former Blues chairman Keith Coombs at his funeral. Former Aston Villa chairman Doug Ellis, lifelong Bluenose Jasper Carrott and ex- Blues manager Jim Smith were among mourners who attended the service at Knowle Parish Church.
