A visual treat of a Faustian morality tale, director Terry Gilliam survives the death of lead actor Heath Ledger thanks to Johnny Depp, Jude Law and Colin Farrell replacing him in the films fantasy scenes. Amazingly it works, and veteran Christopher Plummer is terrific in the lead role.
