How to flatter your feet . . .
Mar 23 2009 By Lisa Piddington
TOTTERING heels are undeniably sexy and with five and six inch heels from the likes of Christian Louboutin and Alexander McQueen they are simply irresistible
However, so-called “taxi shoes” are all well and good when you know there will be plenty of sitting down … when you’re on your feet all day, flats are the most practical – and also the most fashionable.
Ballet pumps are the wise fashionistas’ choice for the new season – not only do they look great and are a lot more comfortable than sky-high heels, but there are some striking pairs to leave you spoilt for choice.
I love these textured blue flats from Faith, which will be in store next month. They may be the most expensive of the bunch at £70 but the on-trend colour means you really will be stepping out in style.
Metallics remain with us for yet another season, and this silver pair from Bhs are a great buy at just £15.
Cutesy black and cream pumps have a real retro feel, and these from Schuh’s new season collection are ultra feminine too. Priced at £19.49 you’ll find them at the New Street and Bullring stores.
In modern mock animal print, these lace-front pumps cost £20 from Jane Norman. Get your hands on a pair at stores in Bullring, Debenhams and Corporation Street.
