Beauty: Tried and Tested Mascaras

Too Faced Lashlight Mascara (£20)

Too Faced Lashlight Mascara

The high price point here is paying for a gimmick, two light rays, which is not worth the extra money. Initially a bit clumpy, it smooths with a couple of applications.

Mac Studio Fix Lash (£12.50)

Mac Studio Fix Lash

Quite a dry mascara, this is a bit lumpy on initial application but with a few goes it evens out to give reasonable cover and depth. Not bad for a reasonable price point.

Clinique High Lengths Mascara (£14.50)

Clinique High Lengths Mascara

This ergonomic lash head is initially a bit tricky to use but once you have found the knack this gives good coverage with depth of colour for full glamour.

Boots No7 Extravagant Lashes Mascara (£12)

Boots No7 Extravagant Lashes Mascara

This has a huge square shaped brush which is a little unwieldy to use on the eyelashes. However once you have the hang of it, this gives full-on thick glamour lashes.

Cargo LashActivator Extreme (£23)

Cargo LashActivator Extreme

With primer at one end and mascara at the other this is an all in one. However it doesn’t give any better finish than the other options in the group and is the most expensive.
