Full marks for using 100 per cent natural products. Unfortunately this lipstick does not stay the distance. The subtle red shade proves to be too subtle and quickly disappears.

Illamasqua Lipstick in Atomic (£15.50)

Plenty of bold colour, this is a deep fuchsia shade of pink with a matte finish. Lasts reasonably well but is a bit dry in texture, so shows the creases.

Estee Lauder Pure Color Long Lasting Lipstick in Mystic Mauve (£18)

The reformulated Pure Color range is proving to be a real hit, with this creamy lipstick giving good hydration and lasting for hours in a shade which works for day or evening.

Dior Addict Lipstick in Show (£22)

Creamy texture which lasts well and keeps lips well hydrated. A sheen of candy pink with a touch of shimmer which can be worn lightly or full-on.

Mac Cremesheen Lipstick in Play Time (£13.50)

A lilac pink this is a touch of spring colour with slight shimmer. Moisturising and easy to apply this lasts well for a reasonable price.
