Don't miss out on half term activities
STUCK for something to do over half term?
Then head over to one of the Midlands’ top theme parks.
They are all open during the school break and there are some new arrivals on show.
At West Midland Safari Park, Bewdley, these young lion cubs were introduced to their latest toy which resembled a large ball of knitting wool made from rope. Layla, Libby and Lizzy were born at the park last October and made their public debut on Saturday, when the Park fully reopened for the summer season. See www.wmsp.co.uk for for details.
At Twinlakes Family Theme Park, Melton Mowbray, 18-year-old great grandmother llama Lashes shocked staff by giving birth to a male llama! The baby has been named ET for now, but the park wants suggestions for a name and visitors can drop their suggestions in a naming box. Visit www.twinlakespark.co.uk for more details.
Alton Towers is also open every day this week, with selected rides operating. If you book in advance online, you can save 20 per cent on all half term tickets. The park reopens for the summer season on March 20, with the launch of the new rollercoaster thrill ride Thirteen. For more details, visit www.altontowers.com.
