Chance to turn Britain green
YOU have probably seen the advert on TV – EDF Energy, together with Eco-Schools, London 2012, the Eden Project and Global Action Plan, are launching the first ever Green Britain Day on July 10.
It’s a chance for everyone across the country to take action in the fight against climate change.
Schools and young people can play an important role in Green Britain Day, and maybe you can ask your teacher if they have already downloaded the Green Britain Day information pack at EDF’s special website, www.jointhepod.org
EDF and its partner organisations want people to think about the changes they can make for a greener Britain.
You can help by encouraging your family and friends to make a green footprint pledge for Green Britain Day.
It could be something as simple as watching telly together to save energy (instead of watching on three separate TVs in the house), or turning off the tap while brushing your teeth.
