GET set for an Easter treat at The NEC when the prestigious British Open Show Jumping event returns with a spectacular programme of events.

From April 3 – 6, The NEC Arena welcomes, not only world-class competition riders from Britain and abroad, but a whole host of exciting equestrian activity including Hollywood movie-style stunts, high speed Barrel Racing, Dressage Display, Scurry Driving, globally renowned Parelli Natural Horsemanship and the UK’s highest goal Arena Polo.
World-class Riders
Leading lady rider, Jessica Kurten, who is currently ranked 1st in Ireland and 5th in the World, will return to defend her title as the 2007 British Open Show Jumping Champion and compete in other top show jumping speed and jump-off classes.
British Open Indoor Cross Country
Leading eventers, including BBC Sports Personality 2006 Zara Phillips, will be invited to tackle a series of bespoke cross country fences in this highly acclaimed competition. In addition, the impressive programme hosts some of the very best equestrian entertainment you will see in the country.
Daniel Naprous and the Devil’s Horsemen
The Blockbuster stuntman and his team will perform their trademark daredevil tricks and aerobatics as well as a unique choreographed equestrian drama created for the show. Daniel’s heart-stopping displays have featured in Hollywood films including The World Is Not Enough, Braveheart, Lara Croft: Tomb Raider, Black Beauty, First Knight and Robin Hood Prince of Thieves.
Parelli’s Natural Horsemanship
Renowned horse behaviourists and all-round legends in the world of horse- handling, Parelli will treat audiences to a specially crafted performance to music to share the ‘essence’ of natural horsemanship. Visitors will see horses at ‘play’ expressing confidence, curiosity and exuberance.
Visitors passionate about shopping can also enjoy the spacious Shopping Forum accommodating more than 100 stands and staging daily rider signings by top riders.
